Demonstrators flung firebombs in a walk towards the US Embassy compound in Athens on Wednesday in a dissent over the passing of George Floyd in Minneapolis.
Reuters writers saw demonstrators tossing a few blazing articles which ejected into flares in the city towards the vigorously protected embassy in focal Athens and police reacting with rounds of teargas.
The embassy itself was cordoned off with columns of blue police busses.
Demonstrators were holding standards and bulletins perusing “Dark lives matter” and “I can’t relax”. Police sources assessed the quantity of dissidents at more than 3,000.
